Ruth Pat-Horenczyk, Ph.D., is a Full Professor at the School of Social Work and Social Welfare at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem and a clinical psychologist. Her research topics focus on risk and protective factors for childhood PTSD, relational trauma, resilience and posttraumatic growth. Prof. Pat-Horenczyk co-edited the books: Treating Traumatized Children: Risk, Resilience and Recovery (2009), and Helping Children Cope with Trauma: Individual, Family and Community Perspectives (2014).
Ruth's current research projects are: (a) Predicting Effective Adaptation to Breast Cancer to Help Women to BOUNCE Back – in collaboration with experts from the fields of oncology, computer modeling, psychology, and social medicine from Finland, Israel, Greece, Italy and Portugal;
(b) Responses and Needs of University Students in the Context of the COVID-19 Pandemic;
(c) Continuous Traumatic Stress – in collaboration with Ukraine Poland and the Netherlands.
